From 1 April 2023, the International Centre for Industrial Transformation (INCIT) will form a collaborative partnership with the Selangor Human Resource Development Centre (SHRDC) to further our commitment to transforming manufacturing by addressing sustainability and talent development.
At INCIT, we aim to catalyse industrial transformation to help the global manufacturing sector advance, develop and grow. To accomplish this, we use our Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) and Consumer Sustainability Industry Readiness Index (COSIRI) to evaluate digital transformation progress and measure how well global industries are doing in terms of sustainability and how transparent they are about their environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices, respectively.
The SHRDC is a centre dedicated to developing talent and providing training to improve the workforce, especially in support of industry growth. Since the organisation’s establishment in 1992, it has trained over 100,000 individuals in various fields through its upskilling and reskilling programmes which are designed to meet the industry’s current needs.
Through this collaboration, INCIT and SHRDC will create an impartial platform to evaluate ESG initiatives, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that serve as suppliers to multinational corporations. As ESG becomes increasingly important, our innovative tools and prioritisation indexes (ManuVate, SIRI, and COSIRI) will provide SMEs with the guidance they need to better understand and enable their digital and sustainability transformation.
Meanwhile, SHRDC aims to be a leading player in the field of ESG, particularly in the field of assessment and training for INCIT’s tools and prioritisation indexes. Together, we believe that our efforts will make a significant impact in creating a sustainable and responsible future for all.
